Dua for Iftar

When breaking the fast – Iftar
O Allah! I fasted for You and I believe in You [and I put my trust in You] and I break my fast with Your sustenance.
[“wa ‘alayka tawakkaltu” is quoted in some books of knowledge – but not all, hence it is in brackets]
[Abu Dawud]

Allahumma Inni laka sumtu wa bika amantu [wa alayka tawakkalto] wa ‘ala rizqika aftartu

“Oh Allah! Bless us in Rajab and Sha`ban, and bring us, oh Allah, to Ramadan.”

Dua on Laylatul Qadr

Aaisha (RadhiAllaho anha) reports: “I said: ‘O Messenger of Allah (Sallallaho alaihe wasallam), should I find myself the “Laylatul Qadr”, what shall I pray.

The Prophet (Sallallaho alaihe wasallam) replied: say,

‘Oh Allah, indeed You are most forgiving, You love to forgive, so forgive me.’

“Allah bless you, and may He send blessings upon you, and may He unite you both in good.”
